BHARATIYA VIDYA MANDIR
Established in 1948 by the great Indian visionary late Shri Girdhardas Mundhra and his fellow community members, Bharatiya Vidya Mandir (BVM) a research house par excellence dedicated to the propagation of Indian culture and heritage. For over several years, it has been under the aegis of Simplex Infrastructures Limited. An array of initiatives are undertaken at BVM which includes promoting mass education, training and development of construction workers and engineers and publication of books and its own bi-monthly magazine, namely Vaichariki.
Over the years, the institute has created a niche for itself in education, as well as preservation and propagation of Indian culture and heritage by the area of History, Culture, Literature, Art, Music, Language, Religion, Philosophy, Spirituality and Science. It has been associated with various authors, scholars and dignitaries in these fields. It publishes various books and periodicals, and organizes seminars and literary meets with the sole objective of spreading the word of our rich cultural heritage and achievements in various fields of Indian knowledge systems all over the world.
Bharatiya Vidya Mandir has been brought under its patronage by Simplex Infrastructures Limited and in partnership; the two organizations had made a foray in Practical Technical Education. They have introduced many training programs in the field of construction and other engineering disciplines and made a telling impact over time. Their custom made training programs for Foremen, Supervisors, Overseers, Engineers, Store Keepers, Health & Safety officers, Commercial and Administration Officers, Machine Operators, Mechanics Plant Supervisors, Plant Superintendents, Plant Engineers as well as skilled workers in the areas of Carpentry, Masonry, Plumbing and Electrical have benefited many who have significantly increased their skills level and contributed professionally to the satisfaction of themselves and their organizations.
